Ambulance Service

Introduction

Presently, through Areas, State HQ now has the following vehicles:-

Selangor Coastal Area / Kawasan Pantai Selangor (KPS) :

  • 18 Ambulances ( all Toyota Hiace with plate number 911)
  • 08 Staff Car (Toyota Unser, Nissan AD-Resort, Nissan C-22, Ford-Telstar,
  •                    Perodua Rusa, Renault Kangoo x 2 units & Perodua Kancil)
  • 01 5-tons Box Van (Hino)
  • 01 Mobile Store (Ford Econovan)
  • 01 Mini Bus (Ford Transit)
  • 01 Pick-up (Nissan)
  • 01 Motor-bike (Jaguh)

Northern Selangor Area / Kawasan Selangor Utara (KSU):

  • 01 Ambulance (Toyota Hiace)

Southern Selangor Area / Kawasan Selangor Selatan (KSS):

  • 04 Ambulances (Toyota Hiace and Ford Transit short base)
  • 01 Transport (Nissan C-20)
  • 01 Staff Car (Nissan Grand Livina))

Eastern Selangor Area / Kawasan Selangor Timur (KST):

  • 02 Ambulances (Nissan C-22)

Western Selangor Area / Kawasan Selangor Barat (KSB):

  • NIL

Shah Alam Area / Kawasan Shah Alam (KSA):

  • Yet to be activated

Northern Central Selangor Area / Kawasan Selangor Tengah Utara (KSTU):

  • 02 Ambulance (Toyota Hiace)
  • 01 Transport (Nissan C-20)

Southern Central Selangor Area /Kawasan Selangor Tengah Selatan (KSTS):

  • 01 Ambulance (Toyota Hiace)

:Western Central Selangor Area / Kawasan Selangor Tengah Barat (KSTB):

  • Yet to be activated

 

KPS runs its 24 hour Emergency Ambulance Service since 1990 with 21 fulltime staff. A fee is charged on each call depending on location but free service is provided for MVA cases (Motor Vehicle/s Accidents).
State HQ will launch the statewide Ambulance Service this coming February 2009 with all Areas participating, with the call centre based in KPS due to their facility and wireless communication will be fixed in all ambulances and Area HQs. 
GPS (Global Positioning System) will be installed in all ambulances once our R & D program with Multi Media University (MMU - Faculty of Engineering & Technology) is completed.
